Making sense of life
Coverage of religions recommended at KS3 is Christianity plus Buddhism and two other religions from: Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Sikhism. Non-religious views must also be represented.
- 3.1 Making sense of life – Buddhism. (Buddha/ Dharma/ Sangha)
- 3.2 Making sense of life – Christianity (Salvation/ God/ Incarnation/ Agape)
- 3.3 Making sense of life – Sikhism. (Guru) or Hinduism (Dharma/ Deity/ Atman)
- 3.4 Making sense of life – Islam (Islam/ Iman) or Judaism (God and the Covenant/ Torah)
- 3.5 Making sense of society – why should we care? Christianity (Agape)
- 3.6 Making sense of death – Christianity (salvation) Buddhism (Dharma) & Humanism.
- 3.7 Caring for our world – Christianity (God & creation) & Buddhism (Dharma/ Sangha).
- 3.8 Making sense of the media – How are religions portrayed in the media? How can the media inform or distort our understanding of religions, beliefs and truth?
- 3.9 Why are we here? The pursuit of happiness, peace & fulfillment.
